Paint Mess

Welcome to my mess!

So I've decided to stop drawing recognizable things and take up pure abstraction and make love to the paint and become one with my art and... no. Not really.

So yeah, what is this nonsense... This is the Paint Mess I produced for the backgrounds in my AATR Round One Entry. Yep, there was paint eeeeeverywhere (especially when I did the Pollock effects. I'm still finding paint drips in odd corners.)

Basically what I did was I had my computer next to my painting area, and I'd pull up some inked pages from each sequence in turn, and then wing it with the paint trying to get the kinds of strokes and effects I thought that sequence needed. Well, except for the Pollock effects, I had to put a bag over my computer at that point.

It's mainly acrylic on some junky old sheets of large paper I had lying around - and some cheap tempera mixed in to get the right drippy consistency for the Pollocky stuff...
