Blargh!

BLARGH December! I swear this is the busiest month... I've had hardly any time for anything personal lately, too busy scrambling on work stuff, with pressure to finish things by the end of the year. BLARGH! It doesn't help that all I really want to do is sleep most of the time, because it's so dark and blah lately. I swear the sun sets almost as soon as I wake up. Come on, Winter Solstice, do your thing and get it over with and give us back our sunlight already...

(Normally I love Winter, but we don't have any snow and it isn't even properly cold or anything, so it doesn't feel like Winter... It feels like Spring but dark all the time. Blah.)

However, I did play hooky a bit last week to go see Brian Froud and family give a talk at the Society of Illustrators. Oh man, the Frouds are the coolest family EVER. The whole family spends their time making pictures and puppets all day, they are awesome, I want them to adopt me. (I had to go because I was in love with Froud's "Faeries" book as a kid, so when I heard he was in New York I was like "screw deadlines, I'M THERE!") This was in connection with a big exhibit of work by the Froud family at the Animazing Gallery... I haven't seen it yet but I'm totally going to.

Anyway... Gotta get some more work done so as to have more time to play in January, maybe, hopefully, agh...

And I need to kick myself off of Fuck Yeah Art Student Owl, ahaha, damn it's way too accurate and too addictive... What's sad is that my life is still pretty much like that, and I graduated art school a while ago.

OKAY! Work now!
